About me
Lew, aged 19, is a Rock n' roller guitarist for indie rock band Mishaps who is also a solo artist. He believes that the rock does indeed come before the roll. Every note is played with dedication and passion. Not a moment passes where he isn't on his guitar.

How it began
Lew has been developing his guitar skills since the age of 9, first starting out on an Ashton acoustic clueless about how to read tab or how to play guitar at all. Thinking the tab number was the string number and the notes on the stave above, were what notes to play. Weeks passed and playing the guitar became a chore, playing music from beginner guitar books. He then watched ac/dc play whole lotta Rosie at River Plate and he knew that is what he wanted to do. This eventually lead to him getting his first electric guitar, a gears 4 music les Paul.

Hours were spent in the dark learning his favourite tunes, like Thunderstruck or highway to hell. Years passed and he further developed his skills enough to be apart of his school band. Festivals, gigs and talent shows because a daily routine during high school with band and a group of friends. With this, stage his confidence only grew, learning songs daily. During his final year, he had made the decision that music was more than just a hobby, it was a lifestyle. Music performance is what he wanted to do and Newcastle college seemed like the right place for this at the time.

Whether it was fate or just pure luck, this is where he met the bassist and the vocalist for Mishaps. Lifelong bandmates and best friends. Skip forward 2 years and Mishaps kickstarted on 13/04/2021. The 13th of may was a day we would never forget. As of 2022 Mishaps have really kickstarted the indie rock band taking part in several gigs and even performing with RATS and Lesbian bed death at venues such as Jollees and the Sugar mill. Every since Lew was first introduced to Rock music he dreamt of playing at these local venues and now, with the help of Mishaps, its happening.
